I've had an Otterbox Defender for my S3 now for quite awhile. The silicone over the plastic shell always seems to stretch over time causing a loose fit. I know you lot can contact customer support and have a new example sent to you lot from Otterbox, but I figured there had to be something to tighten the silicone up. After browsing the web, I heard that if you boil the silicone for a few minutes in humid h2o, it volition tighten it up. I figured I'd give it a try and it actually did work, the case now fits like information technology did when it was new.

How long did y'all boil it? I stopped using my defender because of this effect

Boiled it for nigh ii minutes. If your silicone is stretched too far though information technology won't get 100% back to normal. Information technology will aid though that'due south for sure!

I went with the body glove tough adjust because I don't like how the otter box distorts the screen with that rainbow effect. No stretching still but if I take that result I'll use your idea.

It should do the flim-flam for your case besides. Hopefully it won't stretch like the otterbox to begin with.

Washed this also. But immersed simply for a infinitesimal. Then went to a cup full of cold h2o.

Dont utilise tongs when getting the case off the water equally it will ruin the shape of the case. As the case is sensitive when its really hot.

Ballistics sg maxx is a great case. Best drib protection imo. With them big chunky corners it just bounces dorsum at you lol. My wife had it on hers for awhile.

HAHA BUDDY!!!! Same affair hither! I love my BodyGlove ToughSuit!!! Gray/White Version Here! I got ill and tired of the OtterBox Warranty claims, however this is the offset device I've had the stretching issue with an OtterBox...

Well, unfortunately in that location is inappreciably a like case available which 1) offers some protection and two) looks somehow decent and fancy enough the be used on a daily basis.

There are some similar chinese cases bachelor which also offering a hard plastic shell and some prophylactic around...but look in my oppinion rather ugly than a regular Otterbox Defender.

Have a look at this one : http://world wide web.amazon.de/yuba-RoboCase-...1367166500&sr=eight-2&keywords=galaxy+s3+survivor

Since the support was kind enough to me, though I bought my case used in another board and didn´t receive a invoice, I may however consider to employ other Otterbox Cases with other devices.

The stretching isn't the just flaw with these cases. The clips that hold the two plastic portions together also seem to pause later awhile. Gauge you can't complain too much when they send some other free though.
